Subsidiary of Sri Lankan power giant LTL holding; Lakdhanavi Limited was awarded with Power Utility Of The Year and Innovative Technology Of The Year Sri Lanka at the Asian Power Awards 2017 recently.

The region's most prestigious awards accepted nominations from outstanding power companies in Asia for 2017 and received 135 nominations which was a clear surge in applications from the previous year. In 2016 there were only a 100 contenders.
Initially, LTL industries commenced operations with an investment of Rs 8.5 million as a manufacturer of transformers. Now with business expansions, it has extended its presence to many overseas countries. As a leading engineering company in the power sector, LTL holding has now diversified into power generation, electricity infrastructure generation, and hot dip galvanizing whilst modernizing and improving transformer manufacture activity thus covering entire value chain of the power sector.

Lakdhanavi is compliance with occupational health and safety (OHAS) 18001: 2017 standards. The trade mark project for the company was building and operating a multi fuel capable Yugadanavi 300 MW combined cycle power plant in 2007 which was the largest plant of the kind in Sri Lanka at that time. Lakdhanavi constructed its first power station in 1997 and grown to be a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPS) and the largest independent power producer within the power sector of Sri Lanka."The Oscars as it is hailed The Asian Power Awards recognizes ground breaking projects and trailblazing initiatives in the power sector in Asia. Nominations for "The Oscars" of the power industry impressively surged to 135 this time and the awarding ceremony took place in Thailand. Over a hundred senior executives and prime industry figures flocked to the Conrad Bangkok for the Awards night in Thailand.
