World Cup 2022: Dialog Axiata Powers SL U-19 Cricket team
Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider, Dialog Axiata PLC, has come forth as the ‘Official Sponsor of the National U-19 Cricket Team’ for the upcoming ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup to be held in the West Indies from 14 January to 5 February.
Sri Lanka will be battling it out in ‘Group D’ in the League stage of the tournament against Australia, Scotland and hosts West Indies. The Young Lions will take on Scotland on 14 January, Australia on the 17th and the West Indies on the 21st.
At the recently concluded Asian Cricket Council U-19 Asia Cup, Sri Lanka emerged runners-up to India at Dubai International Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. The Sri Lanka junior team also defeated the reigning U-19 champions Bangladesh and England in a home series in 2021.
In 2013, Dialog Axiata took the mantle of powering the National Cricket Team, which is in the hearts and minds of all Sri Lankans.
