Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs yesterday (13) held a protest near Torrington Square urging the Government to protect the freedom of speech.
Speaking to journalists after the protest, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said, “The freedom of speech is a basic right given to all citizens. It is a character of a democratic nation,” Premadasa said.
He further said that SJB will keep fighting to protect the right to freedom of speech for everyone.
