US Ambassador meets members of TNA

US Ambassador Alaina B. Teplitz met with members of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) earlier this morning.

The discussion is said to have been about the current situation in the North and was held at a hotel in Jaffna.

TNA Kilinochchi District MP S. Shritharan, former MP Mavai Senathirajah, and former Chairman of the  Nothern Provincial Council C. V. K. Sivagnanam were present at the discussion.

Following the discussion, Shritharan stated that the discussion with the US Ambassador included conversations relating to the resolutions submitted by the TNA to the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the issues and problems faced by the Tamil people in the North, and the development activities in the North.
