Two arrested for pushing youth to his death

Police have arrested two individuals connected to the murder of a youth last evening in Kandy.
Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said the two individuals, who had been intoxicated at the time, had pushed the 24-year-old victim to an oncoming bus traveling from Kandy to Udawala.
The crime occurred following an argument between the two groups; one group in a van and the other in a three-wheeler.
The DIG said the youth in the van was assaulted and pushed to the road onto an oncoming bus.
The Kandy Police are conducting further investigations and post mortem examination will be conducted today.
