Tom Cruise And The Mission: Impossible 7 Team gets into gift-giving spirit ahead of holiday season
Year-end holiday seasons promise good food, plenty of me-time, and gifts, making it one of most looked forward to holidays of the year.
Despite it being the time to cuddle at home binging all the dramas and series you may have missed, the Mission: Impossible cast and crew have been working hard making the seventh and eighth installments back-to-back under harsh COVID-19 production guidelines.
However, work doesn’t seem to have gotten in the way of holiday traditions because Tom Cruise and Guardians of the Galaxy’s Pom Klementieff are in the gift-giving spirit!
Costume cutter Tim Perkins shared on his official Instagram the sweet gift received from Cruise:
Pom Klementieff gifted makeup and hair artist Charlie Hounslow a “super kind and thoughtful Christmas gift”:
A few days earlier, Tom Cruise made the headlines for his angry public outburst at the crew. The actor threatened the crew they’d be fired if they failed to adhere to safety protocols he helped develop for the movies. He went on to comment on Hollywood saying it is “looking at us and using us to make their movies” and help create “thousands of jobs”. Amidst the comments, he also uses expletives repeatedly. Although Cruise insisted to not shut the movie down again, few people quit the job and Mission: Impossible is reportedly going on hiatus for the holidays.
Production of the movies was originally supposed to begin in March in Italy, around the time when Italy faced a major COVID-19 outbreak. After being shut down at the start of this year, principal photography took place in September and filming began in Norway, England and Italy. Shooting was once again delayed in October after 12 people were identified as positive for COVID-19 in Italy.
Mission: Impossible 7 is set to release on 19 November 2021 and Mission: Impossible 8 for 04 November 2022.
