TNA to file charges against Vidura Wickramanayake
The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has decided to initiate legal action on the Kurunthoormalai archaeological site at either the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court.
The TNA has also decided to file contempt of court charges against State Minister Vidura Wickramanayake and a number of other individuals, citing that their actions and statements were in contravention to an earlier court verdict on the site.
A decision on filing legal charges came after Former Northern Provincial councilor Thureirasa Raviharan and PS member Chinnarasa Logeshwaran met with TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran.
TNA MPs S. Shritharan and Charles Nirmalanadhan have already filed a complaint with the Mullativu police, stating that a number of Hindu articles of worship that were at the location have been destroyed.
