By Nabiya Vaffoor
Nearly 12 among the 32 families, who lost their homes during the fire which broke out on 15 March at Kajeema Waththa, Thotalanga, were relocated in their newly built homes constructed by the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) Sri Lanka, on 9 April at the same location.
A-PAD organised the event in coordination with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), Colombo District Secretariat and the Army led by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).
The partnership also provided relief items to families affected by the fire. The rest of the families are also expected to get houses soon.
