STF seize 29,000 kilos of refuse tea in Ja-Ela

The STF seized 29,000 kilos of refuse tea packed to be exported to Dubai in a container in the Kotugoda area in Ja-Ela yesterday. The raid was carried out following a tip -off received by the OIC of the STF camp in Gonahena.
According to the STF, the value of the seized stock of refuse tea was over Rs 175 million, while some 700 refuse tea parcels had been seized in this manner.
