Sri Lanka U-19 beat England U-19 by 148 runs in the 2nd Youth ODI at SSC on Friday (3) to level the 5-match series 1-1

Sri Lanka won the toss and electing to bat scored 251 runs for 4 wickets in their 50 overs. Left hand No.4 batter Pawan Pathiraja scored a valuable 113 runs in 129 balls with 13 boundaries. Joined by another Trinitian Ranuda Somarathne, the pair added 105 runs for the 4th wicket. Ranuda remained unbeaten on 58 runs made in 79 balls with 2 boundaries and a six. Skipper Dunith Wellalage scored an unbeaten 38 runs in 22 balls with 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Rehan Ahamed and Josh Boyden claimed 2 wickets each. England were bowled out for 103 runs in 31.4 overs. James Rew top scored with 50 runs. Left arm leg spinner Wanuja Sahan claimed 5 wickets for 21 runs. Yasiru Rodrigo and Matheesha Pathirana claimed 2 wickets each.

The third game is on Sunday (5) at SSC.
