Sri Lanka Cricket calls for report into alleged sex scandal

Following media reports of inappropriate behavior between a national cricketer and a female health official assigned to the team, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has called on team manager Asantha De Mel to ascertain the veracity of the claims.
De Mel has also been tasked with producing a report on the claims.
A release issued by SLC noted that the allegations had been leveled against a cricketer currently in the Test squad for the series against England.
SLC notes that an inquiry will be conducted into the alleged incident if the findings of the report warrant such an inquiry. The release also notes that SLC holds a zero-tolerance policy against misbehavior and that stern action would be taken against any party if the allegations prove to be true.
