SLC seeks Commander's assistance to conduct upcoming international tournaments
To seek assistance for smooth conduct of the upcoming Bangladesh Tournament in October and Lanka Premiere League-2020 (LPL) in November which will be held in Sri Lanka, a high-level team of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), headed by SLC President, Shammi Silva met Army Commander, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva yesterday (15).
The discussion was mainly regarding the strict precautionary health measures that need to be followed during the upcoming tournaments.
Accordingly, it is reported that a 26-member squad from Bangladesh and five teams from the T-20 League, plus current ODI players, are expected to arrive in Colombo for the LPL in November.
Further, SLC also tabled a copy of the blueprint protocol that has been now laid in connection with the Bangladesh tour from 27 September to 13 October at Hambantota.
At the end of the discussion, SLC thanked the Army Commander for his contribution towards the control of the epidemic in Sri Lanka.
