SLBFE told to provide maximum relief to dependents
Minister of Labour Nimal Siripala de Silva has directed the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) to provide maximum relief to the family and other dependents of the Sri Lankan who was brutally murdered in Pakistan.
He said, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had paid special attention to the murder of the Sri Lankan worker and said that appreciating other religions, regardless of their beliefs, was a positive feature of Sri Lankan culture.
“We also express our heartfelt condolences to the family members of Priyantha Kumara, a resident of Ganemulla Pokuna Junction, who died horrible attack,” he said.
The Minister went on to say that the Bureau of Foreign Employment has been instructed to take all possible steps for the future welfare of the family members and their dependents, as well as to provide such relief as soon as possible, and that steps would be taken to take further action, at the diplomatic level, in light of Kumara’s unfortunate death.
