News SLAF Organic Fertiliser Production Project opened

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Organic Fertiliser Production Project was opened by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, at the SLAF Regiment Training School in the Vanni, to achieve the Government’s goal of producing a healthy and productive citizenry while ensuring the right of the people to access a non-toxic and balanced diet. 

This project, which is being carried out under the supervision of the SLAF’s Commander Agro Unit, intends to produce 25 tonnes of organic fertiliser at first. The fertiliser produced by this project will be used for Agricultural Projects within the SLAF and will also be made available to the Sri Lankan farming community through the Ministry of Agriculture.
