Business SL urges GSP+ facility’s optimal use to reach Hungary’s market

Sri Lanka has emphasized the need to optimize the utilization of the GSP+ facility in accessing the Hungarian market, as Sri Lanka’s key exports benefit from duty free access to the European Union.

Foreign minister Prof. G.L. Peiris stressed this point when he met with his counterpart of Hungary Péter Szijjártó in Colombo yesterday (12).

Further, they discussed an early conclusion of a bilateral double taxation agreement well as cooperation in science and technology, Ayruveda and renewable energy.

The two Ministers also agreed to convene the second session of the Sri Lanka-Hungary Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation at an early date this year.
