SL's COVID-19 cases cross 530,000
A total of 666 COVID-19 cases were detected today (16), surging the number of total cases to 530,421.
Meanwhile, 20 more deaths were reported yesterday, making this the lowest number of daily COVID-19 deaths reported in Sri Lanka since June.
With this, Sri Lanka's COVID-19 death toll rose to 13,449.
Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena confirmed that one among the latest victims were aged below 30, five were between 30-59 years, while the rest were aged above 60 years.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s coronavirus recoveries increased to a total of 491,958, with 354 patients being discharged today.
