Skal International Colombo holds 67th AGM
The 67th Annual General Meeting of Skal International was held at the Taj Samudra, Colombo on 24 February 2021.
Travel Talk Asia Managing Director Sk. Dinushka Chandrasena was elected President and World Link Travels Managing Director Sk. Ahintha Amarasinghe as Vice President for the year 2021/2022.
The Chief Guest at the event was Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage and the Guest Speaker was Director Air Transportation and Economic Regulation, Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, Rayhan Wanniappa.
Skål, founded in 1932, is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry with over 12,000 members in 99 countries.
Two new members were inducted during the luncheon, Taj Asia Ltd Area Director Pankaj Sampat along with Taj Samudra Colombo Hotel Manager Kiran Bussari.
Two awards of recognition for their longstanding service on the Ex-Co were awarded to Sk Zahara Mufti and Sk Sega Nagendra.
