The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to support the 'Black Sunday' movement initiated by Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith requesting justice for the victims of the 2019 Easter Sunday Attacks.
In an official release made by the Party, it was stated that it is necessary for the Government to act immediately with regard to identifying the mastermind behind the tragedy that occurred on 21 April 2019, as opposed to utilizing the attack as a political tool.
General Secretary of the SJB Ranjith Maddumabandara also claimed that none of the objectives of appointing a Presidential Commission of Inquiry to probe the attacks were achieved in the presentation of this final report.
