Local Sign language interpretations during 2022 budget debate
The Committee on Parliamentary Business has decided to provide simultaneous sign language interpretation during the 2022 budget debate.

A committee meeting took the decision in consideration of the hearing-impaired community, Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake said.

Accordingly, approval was granted for a simultaneous sign language window to be broadcast parallel to the live telecast during the budget debate.

Parliament is scheduled to meet on 09 November, at which the adjournment debate by the government on three reports presented by the Committee on Public Accounts will be taken up.
