Sialkot business community raises 100,000 USD for Diyawadana family
The business community of Sialkot in Pakistan has collected USD 100,000 to be provided to the grief-stricken family of Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana.
Additionally, his family will continue to receive his monthly salary.
Addressing a condolence ceremony held in Islamabad today (07) in memory of Diyawadana, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said no one will be spared for committing violence in the name of religion.
He said the Holy Prophet brought an ideological revolution and united humanity and added that the brutal lynching of the Sri Lankan national in Sialkot brought embarrassment to the entire nation.
In addition, a certificate of appreciation was awarded to Diyawadana’s colleague Malik Adnan, who put his life in danger to save Diyawadana.
