Local Shani & three others remanded until 03 February

Gampaha Acting Magistrate Mahesh Herath remanded Shani Abeysekera, the former Director of the CID, and three other suspects until February 03 on charges of fabricating evidence and misleading the judiciary.

Accordingly, Shani Abeysekera, former Sub Inspector Mohana Mendis and retired Sub Inspector H.D. Navaratne Premathilake, who were attached to the Abilipitiya Police, have been remanded again.
