Senarath reappointed Secretary to PM
A senior officer of Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS), Gamini Senarath, has been reappointed as Secretary to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
He received his Letter of Appointment from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (10).
Previously, he had served as the Additional Secretary and the Chief of Staff to incumbent Premier Mahinda Rajapaksa during his tenure as the President.
He was appointed as the Secretary to the Premier following Mahinda Rajapaksa’s appointment as the Prime Minister on 21 November 2019.
Senarath who is a graduate of the University of Kelaniya entered the SLAS in 1984. He has completed a Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology at the University of Colombo. He has also followed a number of academic courses overseas. (GW)
