Royal Institute of Colombo receives international praise
The Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) was recently recognized, in the July 2020 global edition of the London School of Economics and Political Science’s (LSE) Economics, Management, Finance, and the Social Sciences (EMFSS) community newsletter, for its recent collaboration with the Sri Lankan-based educational technology start-up, UNIVISER - a digital platform connecting prospective students and parents with current student ambassadors.
In its widely read EMFSS London newsletter (which is distributed to all University of London (UoL) centers worldwide), the piece recognized RIC Sri Lanka’s successful pilot of the online platform that resulted in an increase in prospective student engagement and enrolment. The collaborative move was hailed as, “A great example of how technological solutions can connect us in a time when traditional recruitment methods are more difficult.”
As industries worldwide pivot to respond to the global COVID-19 pandemic, RIC Sri Lanka has been internationally highlighted as an example of an institute at the forefront of adopting industry best practices by opting to use innovative peer to peer technology to connect with their future students virtually.
