CID provides report on Rifkan Bathiudeen's forged deeds

The Criminal Investigation Department informed the Court today (21) that it has obtained forensic reports regarding the sale of land by Rishad Bathiudeen's brother Rifkan Bathiudeen, using forged documents.
A case was filed against Rifkan Badiudeen's at the Colombo Magistrate's Court for forging deeds and seizing two plots of land spanning 80 acres in the Talaimannar area and then selling it to another party.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohamed Mihail said that the Government Analyst had presented the relevant deeds and documents seized by the CID.
The CID was also ordered to report to the Court on the progress of the investigations and the case was adjourned until 06 May.
