Local Revised quarantine measures issued for overseas arrivals

A revised set of quarantine measures has been issued for individuals arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas.

Accordingly,  foreign nationals who do not have a valid visa, have to obtain a landing permit or visa from the Department of Immigration and Emigration prior to their departure.

All arrivals of two years and above arriving in the country are required to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR report done 72 hours prior to embarkation

Travelers with a history of COVID-19 infection during the past six months and have only obtained a single dose of the vaccine after two weeks of recovery and their unvaccinated children below 18 years of age could arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR report done within 72 hours of embarkation

If individuals have a history of COVID-19 within the last three months, instead of a PCR test, they could arrive with a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test report done within 48 hours prior to embarkation.

The documents produced need to be in English.

Fully vaccinated passengers should carry the original vaccination certificate or verifiable evidence of vaccination (in English).
