Public requested to obtain appointment before visiting National Transport Medical Institute

The Chairman of the National Transport Medical Institute, Dr. Savindra Gamage has requested the public to call the hotline 225 and obtain a date and time to obtain the required medical certificate for the driver's license.
He stated that despite the pandemic, his organization can be described as a Government institution that has continued its service following proper hygiene practices.
The service is available at the National Transport Medical Institute's head office in Nugegoda and branch offices in 25 Districts islandwide, he mentioned.
About 8,000 qualified medical certificates are being issued through the head office of the National Transport Medical Institute, Nugegoda and the 25 other branches on a daily basis.
It is open from 07:30 a.m. from Monday to Saturday and maximum facilities have been set up in these institutions for its clients, the Chairman added.
