Local Diyawadanage's remains to be flown to SL

The remains of factory manager Diyawadanage Don Nandasiri Priyantha Kumara who was killed by a mob in Sialkot, Pakistan on 03 December will be flown to Sri Lanka tomorrow (06) at the expense of the State.

Issuing a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the remains are due to be collected by the deceased's next of kin at the Bandaranaike International Airport, while an investigation report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan is also due.

The Sri Lanka High Commission in Islamabad, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, is in discussions with the Pakistan authorities and the employer of the deceased regarding payment of compensation, the statement said.
