President meets newly appointed Chief Prelate

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa met the newly appointed Chief Prelate of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Nikaya, Ven. Makulewe Wimala Thera yesterday (27).
The President visited the Vidyawasa Pirivena in Minioluwa, Mirigama, where the monk resides and extended his best wishes to the newly appointed Chief Prelate.
Appreciating the service rendered by the Sect to the Buddhist clergy and the nation, the President said that he and the Government would extend their fullest support to continue this endeavour.
Further, the President also wished the prelate good health and a long life and signed the guest book with a special note.
