President in Parliament today

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is scheduled to be in Parliament today (8).
The President is due to come to Parliament for the Ministry of Defence Advisory Committee meeting that is to be held this evening at the Parliamentary Complex. The President is attending this meeting in his capacity as Minister of Defence, which is scheduled to be held under his leadership.
State Minister of Defence, Chamal Rajapaksa, Minister of Public Security, Rear Admiral Dr. Sarath Weerasekera, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Major General Kamal Gunaratne together with heads of security forces are due to attend the meeting.
National security situation, law and order in the country, matters that should be focused on by the security divisions at present and the welfare of the security forces will be discussed.
