Police recovers body from bottom of Devon Falls

By Naalir Jamaldeen The Dimbula-Pathana Police yesterday (03) said that investigations have been launched after a corpse of a woman was recovered from the bottom of Devon Falls on 2 August. According to Police, the victim has been identified as Malarvili (53), a mother of three children and a resident of Pathana. The Dimbula-Pathana Police added that the woman had gone missing on 26 July and that her relatives had filed a complaint. 

Police said that the victim was wearing a dress with blue and white lines when she left the house on the aforementioned date, as stated by her relatives in their complaint. An umbrella, slippers, and a handbag had been recovered from the top of the waterfall. The body has been taken to the District Base Hospital in Dickoya for a post-mortem, Police further said.
