Pensioners do not require travel permit to collect pension
Pensioners who are unable to travel alone to receive their monthly pension payment can be accompanied by another individual.
Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said the pension payments will be made on 10th, 11th and 12th of June, at financial institutions and post offices.
The DIG said pensioners do not require a permit to visit a financial institution or post office to collect their pension despite travel restrictions.
DIG Rohana said Officers in Charge of Police stations have been issued directives in this regard.
Producing a document or e-mail to confirm they are going to collect the pension or is returning after collecting the pension is sufficient.
