Politics Parliamentarians observe minute-long silence

All Parliamentarians observed a minute-long silence today (21), in remembrance of the victims of the Easter Sunday Attacks.

The one-minute silence was observed at the request of the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, at the Parliament today (21).

Prime Minister Rajapaksa also made a statement within the Parliament, ensuring justice for the victims of the Easter Sunday Attacks.

Opposition Parliamentarians were seen dressed in black while ruling party MPs wore black arm bands today.

A two-minute silence was observed by all Sri Lankans at 08:45 a.m. at the request of the Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith
