Opposition donates hospital equipment worth Rs 2,805,000

Hospital equipment valued at Rs 2,805,000 is being donated under the twelfth stage of the social care programme carried out under the ‘Jana Suwaya’ project being implemented across the island based on a concept of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, with the objective of creating a healthy Nation in conjunction with the ‘Vipakshayen Husmak’ programme of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya. Essential health equipment including an ultrasound scanner valued at Rs 2,130,000 and Autoclave Table Lamp valued at Rs 675,000 are being donated. The ‘Vipakshayen Husmak’ programme is being carried out to provide health relief to people suffering as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is being implemented by Parliamentarians, members of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, foreign branches of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, local and foreign supporters, together with the Jana Suwaya Project.
