NSB collaborates with Western Union
The National Savings Bank (NSB) yesterday announced that it is now in collaboration with the world largest money transfer network, ‘Western Union’, from 19.10.2020. Western Union is one of the largest global money transfer companies headquartered in the USA, with an extensive global network, spanning 200 countries/territories and 130 currencies globally.
“Now, customers can receive money transferred from any corner of the world through this collaboration by producing the PIN along with NIC or Passport or Driving license to the Branch. Our entire network consisting 260 branches will be connected with Western Union accordingly,” the NSB said.
“Our valuable customers would be able to receive money from their loved ones from the nearest NSB Branch through Western Union with 100% government guarantee, most reliable, most convenient and well-mannered banking service. Our clientele can now enter into the most popular promotional campaign, ‘Salli Ehen Thagi Mehen’, conducted by the Bank annually, the NSB added.
The official launch of the remittance relations between Western Union and NSB was held recently and the Chairperson of the Bank, Keasila Jayawardena, General Manager/CEO, Ajith Peiris and the members of the Senior Management, the Channel Manager of Western Union Sri Lanka Praveen Nanayakkara and many other distinguished guests were present on the occasion.
