New SLFP office-bearers voted in

The new office-bearers of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) were elected on 25 February and former President Maithripala Sirisena was re- elected as the Chairman of the Party. In addition, Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Mahinda Amaraweera and Professor Rohana Luxman Piyadasa were elected as Senior Vice Presidents of the SLFP.
Shan Wijayalal de Silva, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Thilanga Sumathipala, Lakshman Wasantha Perera, Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, Jeewan Kumaratunga, Faiszer Musthapha, Hemal Gunasekera, Dayashritha Tissera and Ediriweera Weerawardena were elected as Vice Presidents. State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara will continue to serve as the General Secretary of the Party and State Ministers Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Duminda Dissanayake were appointed as the Party’s Treasurer and National Organiser respectively.
