More than 200 nabbed for violating COVID-19 regulations
More than 200 persons have been arrested within the last 24 hours for violating COVID-19 regulations, the Police Spokesperson, DIG Ajith Rohana says.
He said that 215 persons have been arrested during the last 24 hours, and 4,857 persons have been arrested for violation of COVID-19 regulations since 30 October 2020.
Meanwhile, the Police Spokesperson said that the Police have received information about parties and celebrations being held despite the COVID-19 regulations imposed.
He reminded that persons who organise and attend such celebrations and parties violating health recommendations will be prosecuted under the quarantine law.
