News Migrant worker gives birth to triplets: SL envoy in Oman felicitates Snr Omani Consultant

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, O. L. Ameer Ajwad felicitated Senior Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dr. Tahira Kazmi, who performed a critical surgery at the Khoula Hospital in Muscat, on a Sri Lankan pregnant migrant worker, who gave birth to triplets, amid COVID-19 pandemic challenges.

Ajwad had earlier made arrangements with Dr. Kazmi for this critical surgery as the woman was unable to travel to Sri Lanka for the delivery due to the lockdown and closure of airports in the aftermath of COVID-19 outbreak. The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Muscat extended its wishes to Ruwanthika Dilini, who is an employee of Galfar Engineering and Contracting SAOG and the mother of the triplets (two boys and a girl).
