Maris Stella meet Hindu Matale in first semi-final today

The first semi-final of the Under-19 Inter Schools Division Three Tier ‘B’ Cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association (SLSCA) with sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will be held today at Ananda Shashthralaya ground Kotte, when Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa meet Hindu College Matale. Maris Stella College Thimbirigaskatuwa were the champions of their group.

 They beat Taxila College Gampaha, Chadrajothi MV Yakkala, Batuwatte MV Ragama, York International School Yakkala and Basilica College Ragama in their firstround fixtures. Hindu College Matale were the champions of their group. They beat Science College Matale, Vijaya College Matale, Naminioya MV, Christchurch College Matale and Kaikawala Central College in their firstround fixtures. Maris Stella beat S. Thomas’ College Guruthalawa, Wadduwa Central College and President’s College Maharagama in the final round matches. They beat Wickramabahu National School in the quarter-finals. 

Hindu College beat Sri Sumangala College Wariyapola, Madeena NS Akurana and Sri Sumangala College Hikkaduwa in the final round matches. They beat St. Michael’s College Batticaloa in the quarter-final. L. Dinuka N.T. Silva leads Maris Stella, while Hindu Matale will be led by Kailasham Kumeshan. Maris Stella squad: L.
