Man arrested for assaulting wife

A man was arrested in the Meegahakiula area in Badulla yesterday morning (04) by the Kandaketiya Police for assaulting his wife.
The suspect, a 33-year-old resident of the Meegahakiula area in Badulla, is due to be produced before the Badulla Magistrate's Court today (05) .
His 28-year-old wife has been admitted to the Badulla Provincial General Hospital subsequent to sustaining serious injuries.
