Glamour Magic of roses: Homemade Organic Rose Beauty Products

Roses are known for their extraordinary beauty, magical fragrance and many herbal qualities. Roses were loved for centuries, and used for religious purposes, decorations, in food and beverages and in beauty enhancing products.

Today, Roses are used in many beauty related products including face creams, body locations, oils, and lip balms, etc. Rose petals and the rose seed (these seeds are taken from the fruit of the rose plant which is the small bulb that is left when the rose petals fall off the stem) are used to produce nourishing oils and creams.

Rose oil has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. The oil extracted from Rose seed, which is known as the rosehip seed oil, is ideal for mature and photo-damaged skin, along with skin conditions like dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema.

Although many beauty products claim that they use rose petals and rose seed in their products, some of these products do not use actual rose petals or seeds in them. This is why it is great if you can make your own rose face pack, rose oil, rosehip oil or rose body lotion using organic rose petals. These homemade products are organic and such 100% organic products will be very expensive in the market. Therefore, if you can make your own rose petal beauty products at home, then you can have your own organic rose beauty products which will nourish your skin.

For this, you will have to have your own rose plants. This is not a difficult thing to do. Plant some rose plants of different colours in containers or on a flower bed. Do not use chemical fertiliser. Use only organic fertiliser and take very good care of the plant. Once the plant starts blooming, you collect the flowers.

After a day or two, cut the flower from the stem. Collect the petals separately and the rose fruit separately.
