LTTE suspect to be produced in Düsseldorf Court

A suspected LTTE terrorist will be presented before the Düsseldorf Court in Germany for the murder of six individuals today (20).
The charges against the suspect are that he detonated a bomb remotely in front of a convoy of the Sri Lankan army when he was a 15-years-old in Sri Lanka.
The defendant himself has provided the evidence in his statement which he produced in his asylum application in 2018.
The attack had taken place twelve years ago, and six people were killed and many more were injured in the attack. The accused faces the maximum youth sentence of ten years in prison.
The hearing is scheduled to take place from 20 January 2021 to 11 February 2021.
