Sports LPL 2021: Players’ security beefed up

Sri Lanka Cricket has beefed up personal security of all the cricketers competing in the ongoing Lanka Premier League 2021.

The measure has been taken in view of the lynching of Sri Lankan garments factory manager Priyantha Kumara Diyawadana in Sialkot, Pakistan.

A dozen of Pakistanis players, including Shoaib Malik, Mohammed Amir, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hafeez, are competing in the LPL.

According to SLC, the security net has been widened not just for Pakistan players but for all the participating cricketers.
