Laser drugs to be manufactured locally

A decision has been taken to manufacture laser drugs in the country which could detect all variants of cancers.
An agreement aimed at the production of this type of medicine locally set to be signed today between the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board (SLAEB), the Medical Supplies Division and the Kothalawela Defence Academy at the SLAEB premises.
Minister of Power Dullas Alahapperuma, State Minister of Solar, Wind and Hydro Power Generation Projects Development Duminda Dissanayake and State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana are scheduled to be present.
