FT Lanka IOC joins fight against Covid

The Government of Sri Lanka has further intensified its battle against the fast spreading second wave of Covid-19 by extending strict screening of the public and enforcing the protocols required to be followed for controlling the spread of the infection. Schools are also being shortly opened in a phased manner complying with Covid norms and meeting the guidelines of the ‘new normal’. 

To assist the Government of Sri Lanka’s efforts to control the spread of corona virus in the country, Lanka IOC, under the Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat, in the Colombo District, distributed Contactless Infra red Thermometers to the Principals of all the schools, in the presence of Minister of Energy UdayaGammanpila.

Minister complimented Lanka IOC for always showing concern and making an effort to support the society.He also congratulated Lanka IOC for always coming forward as a responsible corporate.

The Minister said as schools reopen it is very important to safeguard the health of students and teachers, while giving parents the confidence to help their children return to school. 

Lanka IOC MD Manoj Gupta assured they would always assist such worthy causes and make an endeavour to help the citizens of the country in fighting the pandemic.

Lanka IOC has been coming forward on regular basis as a support in the battle against the spread of COVID-19. Besides the above, Lanka IOC also provided Peddle-Push washbasins, thermometers and masks to 10 schools to ensure hygiene and as a preventive measure for COVID-19 infections among school going children.
