Killing of Kotte Temple monks: Accused indicted after eight years

Colombo High Court Judge Damith Thotawatta, yesterday (15), served indictments to an accused who was produced before him, on charges of committing the murder of two resident Buddhist monks at the Kotte Raja Maha Vihara Temple.
The accused was identified as M.A. Suresh Chanaka. The Attorney General has indicted Chanaka on charges of murdering Buddhist monks Ven. Boralesgamuwe Gunaratne Thera and Ven. Pitigala Jinasiri Thera, after having colluded with the Harsha Manju Sri Manikeerthi (now deceased), on 30 March, eight years ago.
