Journalists covering Easter attacks PCoI inconvenienced
Journalists who had come to report the proceedings of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into terror attacks were not provided with seating facilities on 23 October.
Previously, journalists were allowed to sit outside the Commission when confidential evidence was being recorded, but no such facilities were provided on this day.
Therefore, the journalists who had come to cover the proceedings of the Commission on 23 October were highly inconvenienced.
When the journalists inquired about this issue from Secretary of the Commission, Buwaneka Herath, he had said, there was no point in discussing such issues with journalists.
“There is no use talking with them,” he said.
This was reported by Ceylon Today’s journalist covering the Commission proceedings.
