Nartional People's Power MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that he has recieved information about a group from India that visited the Brandix apparel factory Minuwangoda, which is believed to be the source of the second corona wave in Sri Lanka.
He stated this addressing a motion to adjourn the House today (23).
Dissanayake stated that a team of Indians have arrived in the island from the Mattala Airport on 22 September and that the Government has not clarified the information regarding this visit.
Responding to Dissanayake's remarks, Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said that a team from India had arrived on September 22 and were quarantined at a private hotel until 06 October.

He also said that the Minister of Health should explain to Parliament the technicalities regarding the spread of the coronavirus.
