ICTA signs MoU with Sarvodaya Fusion to empower citizens through digital technology
The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) recently signed an MoU with Sarvodaya Fusion, the IT wing of the Sarvodaya Foundation, to implement joint programmes to empower people through digital technology.
An ICTA official noted today (25) that under the MoU, Sarvodaya Fusion will implement islandwide IT education programmes through ICTA, including Smart Social Circles, Suhuruliya Nenasala and other projects.
The project aims to help citizens put digital technologies and social media to use in generating an income and improving their living standards, he added.
This project is meant to eventually lead to a National Programme for a Digital Technology-Based Society.
