News Hungarian Govt aid: Kohuwala flyover foundation laid

Highways Minister Johnston Fernando and Hungarian Trade and Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó laid the foundation stone recently, for the construction of new flyover at Kohuwala junction.

The Flyover will be constructed with financial aid from the Hungarian Government at a cost of Rs 2.6 billion. The overhead bridge would be 297 metres in length and 9.4 metres in width overarching a four-lane road connecting Nugegoda and Kalubowila controlled by traffic signals. The project is to be completed in 22 months.
