Govt too slow in decision making process: GMOA
The Assistant Secretary of the Government Medical Officer's Association of Sri lanka, Dr. Samantha Ananda states that the public is experiencing a delay in the decision-making process of the Government. He stated this during a media briefing held today (21).
At the media briefing, Dr. Ananda stated that the Association has informed the President in this regard as well, however, no action has been taken to provide a solution to the problem. He cited that there was a delay in the decision to increase the number of PCR tests and that it has provided to be a problem.
He emphasized that such a delay should not be experienced with regard to the importation and distribution of the Covid vaccines. The problem of where the vaccination should be imported from still persists, he says.
He added that a solution should also be sought out with regard to Covid-19 patients escaping from quarantine centers.
